Research on Single homelessness in Britain
A review of research literature published since 1990, conducted by Suzanne Fitzpatrick and Susanne Klinker.

This website provides online access to the outputs of a review of single homelessness literature in Britain since 1990:

A vast quantity of research has been conducted on single homelessness over the past decade. The sheer volume of material, and the forms in which it is published, can make some of it inaccessible to those working in the field. This review therefore aimed to produce an accessible summary of recent research and information about single homelessness in Britain for use by policy makers, practitioners and research commissioners.

In order to be useful to a broad audience of people working in the homelessness field, three printed outputs were produced from the review which complement each other in their level of detail and comprehensiveness: a bibliography, a collection of detailed summaries of selected material, and an overview report which draws together the main findings of the review. All three outputs are available online here: you can search the combined bibliography and summaries by keywords, authors, etc., and view the overview report in pdf format.

The project was commissioned by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation in conjunction with CRASH, and annual updates of the bibliography and summaries are funded by CRASH.
